Coalescence of surfactant-laden droplets

چکیده

Droplet coalescence is an important process in nature and various technologies (e.g. inkjet printing). Here, we unveil the surfactant mass-transport mechanism report on several major differences of surfactant-laden droplets as compared to pure water by means molecular dynamics simulation a coarse-grained model. Large scale changes bridge growth are identified, such lack multiple thermally excited precursors, attenuated collective excitations after contact, slowing down inertial regime due aggregate-induced rigidity reduced flow, rate (deceleration) when concentration increases, while at same time also confirm existence initial thermal, power-law, inertial, both droplets. Thus, key mechanisms one fundamental topological processes liquid containing surfactant, which crucial relevant technologies.
